Project 19- ENGINE BAY RESTORATION TO SHOW STANDARD

Chassis No. SD00SD0897 is a one owner car from Chicago. Sold new to Dr. Clarence Close it has been lovingly pampered , continuously used and expertly serviced for 32 yrs and was in excellent condition. The car was bought from the same person and address in 2004 that it had been delivered to new in 1973 with all documentation.

Arriving in Australia early 2005 with excellent history including a recent factory overhaul to the 3.0L engine and the auto transmission . Only servicing, detailing and modifications for local Registration were required before it participated in the 1500 klm. Inagural SM Grand Tour in August.

 The new owner considered the incredible original condition of the car deserving of an under bonnet upgrade - as this was the only part that was showing its age, visually, but not in its perfornance.
